Caleb Borick studies with Dr. Joseph Rackers at the Eastman School of Music. He has won numerous awards and scholarships, the most notable of these being first prize in the 2023 International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn. He also won the audience prize, the special prize for chamber music, and the special prize for contemporary music at this competition, his playing being characterized as »crystal-clear« and »immensely passionate« by the General-Anzeiger Bonn.
Other awards include first place in the 2020 Arthur Fraser International Piano Competition, third place in the 2020 MTNA Nationals Senior Division, first place in the 2017 Ronald Sachs International Music Competition, second place in the 2017 International Institute for Young Musicians International Piano Competition, first place in the 2018 Steinway & Sons Junior Piano Competition, and fifth place in the 2019 International e-Piano Junior Competition.
Borick was a 2020 National YoungArts Finalist, a U.S. Presidential Scholarship in the Arts Semifinalist, and has been the featured soloist with multiple orchestras including the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, the Charleston Symphony Orchestra and the South Carolina Philharmonic. He has appeared on WPR’s TV-show »The Midday« with Norman Gilliland and on NPR’s »From The Top«.
Borick participated in numerous music festivals including the Southeastern Piano Festival, International Institute for Young Musicians, the Green Lake Festival of Music, the Cliburn Junior Festival, and MusicFest Perugia, at which he has had masterclasses with artists such as Sasha Starcevich, Alexander Kobrin, and Boris Slutsky.
