Nina Kazourian, violist and singer-songwriter from Valence, France, studied anthropology in Lyon and Stockholm from 2008 to 2012 and viola and new music in Strasbourg and Stuttgart from 2012 to 2017.
She has performed with various classical and new music ensembles in Europe, Australia and China, including the National Orchestra of Iraq and the ULYSSES Ensemble for New Music. She is a member of the Stegreif Orchestra, where she is a violist, singer and composer. In the Stegreif Orchestra production »#Bechange: Awakening!« (Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele 2022) she was a composer together with Tabea Schrenk.
Her solo project as a singer-songwriter was born with her debut album »Under Rivers« in November 2021. She is currently working on her second solo album.
She also wrote and performed the production »Wohin?« (co-production Musikverein Wien and Philharmonie Luxembourg, 2024) together with Marie Spaemann, Golnar Shahyar and Tobias Ribitzki. She sang and played Zerlina in »Giovanni, a Passion« at the Neuköllner Oper Berlin (2019, 2020). As a composer and performer she was involved in the productions »Soulskin« (2021) and »Der kleine Prinz« (2022) and wrote the music for the puppet theatre »/Not/ in my name« by Rafi Martin.
