Tillmann Schürfeld is a German drummer, composer and arranger. He studied with Rudi Marhold, Simon Gattringer and Claus Hessler and graduated in pop drums at the Musikhochschule Münster. Furthermore, he completed the »Pop Course« at the Musikhochschule Hamburg in 2018. Projects with various pop musicians have taken him throughout Germany and Europe. In addition to working as a live musician and musical director for well-known artists, studio work is another important part of his work – as a drummer, arranger and producer.
He made his first experiences with Indian classical music in 2018 as a student of Bernhard Schimpelsberger. Since 2019, he has been learning from Taalyogi Pt. Suresh Talwalkar on regular educational and concert tours to India. He presented the debut of his project »Anahad«, in which he combines Indian classical music with Western pop music, in summer 2019.
