Max Andrzejewski (born 1986) is a composer and improvising drummer living in Berlin. His energetic musical work between experimental jazz and contemporary classical music takes him all over the world in concerts and with composition commissions.
Andrzejewski studied jazz drums at the MHS Cologne and the UdK Berlin. In 2013 he won the New German Jazz Award with his own band »Max Andrzejewski's Hütte« and released four albums with the band. His other own projects are the duo »TRAINING«, the chamber music ensemble »Stemeseder / Andrzejewski light / tied« and the duo »Companion Songs« with Marco Mlynek.
Andrzejewski is active as a composer of contemporary music. He has realised composition commissions for the Podium Festival Esslingen, the Ensemble Resonanz Hamburg, the Berliner Ensemble, the aDevantgarde Festival Munich, the Thalia Theater Hamburg, the Münchner Kammerspiele, the Theater Basel, the Maxim Gorki Theater and many more.
He tours worldwide with his own projects and appears on numerous albums.
