Student Management

The student managers have been an integral part of our festival family since 2009. Every year, a new group of young people comes together to contribute to the festival programme as creative minds and idea generators.  

As a student manager, you will learn everything about working in a music festival and take on the organisation of a concert together with the Beethovenfest mentors.

This includes...

... concert management, where you will be responsible for looking after the artists and the technical side of your concert, but also for planning your joint activities.

... the music education department, where you will get other young people excited about the music of your concert through creative workshops or an unusual concert introduction.

... the communications department, where you will carry out intensive press work and develop a professional marketing strategy. You can realise your ideas in print media, on social media or with merchandise.

... the artistic and commercial management department, where you will be responsible for leading your team, managing the budget and presenting the project at public appearances.

In 2024, the student management team oversees the premiere of the staged concert Galatea Upload in the Kreuzkirche.

For their concert, the pupils will organise their own press conference, a concert introduction and school workshops for which classes from Years 9 to 13 can register.

Over the years, a large community of former student managers has developed, who not only support and advise their successors, but also continue to supervise concerts at Beethovenfest Bonn under the name »nextstop:classic«. 

In 2023, the former student managers are involved in the Open Stage concert »Sausen und Brausen«. Together with the Stegreif Orchester and this year’s student managers, they will organise a colourful afternoon with workshops, pop-up concerts and a brilliant party on the grounds of Basecamp Bonn.
