Prof. Dr Andrea D. Bührmann studied sociology, philosophy and political science and completed her PhD at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster in 1995. Following a DFG scholarship, she completed her habilitation in general sociology in 2003. Since autumn 2013, Andrea D. Bührmann has been Managing Director of the Institute for Diversity Research, which she founded. She is the author of numerous research and practice-related publications. Her work is regularly featured in German media, including the FAZ, SZ, ARD, ZDF, 3sat and n-tv.
