Valerij Lisac is an artist, filmmaker, musician and director specialising in hybrid, intermedia and performative art forms. His work includes film, music, sound and video installations as well as concert and music theatre productions. Lisac’s directorial debut, an intermedia production of Schönberg’s »Pierrot lunaire«, premiered at the Reykjavík Arts Festival and was nominated for the Icelandic Music Award 2014 and the Nordic Council Music Prize 2015. Numerous other music-theatrical and concert-installation productions followed. He works as a composer, video, sound and costume designer at various theatres, including the Deutsches SchauSpielHaus Hamburg, Schauspiel Köln, Oper Köln, Theater Paderborn, Theater Bonn, Theater an der Ruhr and Stadttheater Ingolstadt. Valerij Lisac lives and works in Cologne.
