Pianist Alexei Tartakovsky, described by Martha Argerich as »a fantastic musician and pianist« and by the New York Concert Review as »a thoughtful and serious musician with truly exceptional, great playing,« is a laureate of the Rolf and Brigitte Gardey International Piano Competition (USA), the James Mottram International Piano Competition (UK), and has won several other prizes, including 2nd Prize at the International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn (Germany), 1st Prize at the Heida Hermanns International Piano Competition (USA), 1st Prize at the 2011 New York Concert Artists International Competition (USA), 1st Prize, Audience Prize and Russian Prize at the San Jose International Competition (USA), 2012.
His concert career has taken him to the USA, Canada, Mexico, Russia, Europe, China and Japan, including Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Warsaw Philharmonic, Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall and Carnegie Hall.
Recordings of his have been broadcast by the Netherlands’ Radio 4, Poland’s Radio 2, Russia’s Radio Orpheus, and New York’s WQXR. Alexei Tartakovsky was a semi-finalist at the 2015 Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw and from the French Prize at the 2016 Cleveland International Piano Competition.
He has studied with Matti Raekallio, Nina Lelchuk, Boris Slutsky, Boris Berman, Horacio Gutierrez and Richard Goode.
