Aurel Dawidiuk, born in Hanover in 2000, is quickly establishing himself as one oft the most exciting and versatile musicians of his generation.

He is a guest at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, in Pierre Boulez Saal Berlin, in Sendesaal Bremen, at the Philharmonie Essen, in Konzerthaus Dortmund, in the Opéra national de Lorraine, in ORF Radiokulturhaus Vienna as well as in many important churches in Germany and in other European countries.

He has worked with orchestras including Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Göttinger Symphonieorchester, Sinfonietta Köln, Eroica Berlin, Orchestre de l´Opera national de Lorraine and Orchestra da Camera del Trasimeno.

Aurel Dawidiuk has won numerous competitions for piano and organ. Among others, he wen 1st prizes at »The London Organ Competition 2018« and the »International Young Organist Competition Moscow 2019«. In the same year he won the renowned »TONALi19 Piano Competition« in Hamburg and got also rewarded with the auditioners’ choice award, the Christoph-Eschenbach-Award as well as six other special awards.

In August 2022 he won the »German Music Competition« (Deutscher Musikwettbewerb) in organ category, combined with the special prize of the Federal City of Bonn and an own CD production on the GENUIN label in co-production with Deutschlandfunk Kultur and the German Music Competition.

He began his musical education early on when he was six years old playing the piano and the violin. For several years, he was an active member of the »Knabenchor Hannover«, the renowned boys’ choir of Hanover. In 2014, he was admitted as a pre-student to Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media to the piano class of Roland Krüger. In the same year, he additionally began organ studies with Martin Sander at the Detmold University of Music. His further teachers and special mentors are Gabriele Leporatti, Ulrike Adler and Hatto Beyerle.

Since September 2020, he continues his studies at the Zurich University of the Arts in conducting with Johannes Schlaefli and piano with Till Fellner, as well as organ with Martin Sander at the Musik-Akademie Basel.

In 2021 he was admitted to the »Forum Dirigieren« of the German Music Council (Deutscher Musikrat) – a promotion program for young conductors. He attended master classes e.g. with Paavo Järvi, Joana Mallwitz, Pierre-André Valade and has already conducted wellknown orchestras such as the Bern Symphony Orchestra, the Musikkollegium Winterthur and the Thessaloniki City Symphony Orchestra.
