Constantin Heise was born into a family of musicians in Frankfurt (Oder) in 2001 and has been taking cello lessons since the age of six. In 2016, he won first prize at the national Jugend Musiziert competition. In 2018, his first international success followed with 1st prize at the Augustin Aponte Music Competition in Tenerife. As one of the youngest participants, he reached the semi-finals of the renowned Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels in 2022.
At the German Music Competition in August 2023, Heise earned a scholarship from the German Music Council and will consequently be included in the German Music Competition concert promotion programme for the 2024/25 concert season.
At the age of 10, he made his debut as a soloist with the Filharmonia Zielona Gora. Since then he has performed with the Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt, the Jena Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestre Royale de Chambre de Wallonie, among others. He has also performed at international festivals such as the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Music Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and the Beethovenfest Bonn.
