A versatile and flexible clarinetist, Eduardo Raimundo Beltrán combines his work in the National Orchestra of Spain with great activity in the field of chamber music, pedagogy and performance with Historical instruments.
He has recieved a broad education by those who have been his clarinettists of reference, having a really close contact with J. Herrera, J. E. Lluna and Alessandro Carbonare, with whom he studied the Master of Interpretation at the »Giussepe Verdi« conservatory in Milan.
His restlessness to meet other opinions on musical interpretation, specially the clarinet family, took him to study the bass clarinet with A. Goig and with Harry Spaarnay. Continuing with his open education, he entered the world of Early music studying at the Esmuc in Barcelona with Lorenzo Coppola.
His plural and varied education has given him the opportunity to collaborate with a wide range of musicians, ensembles and orchestras; from those who work with early instruments and classic-romantic repertoire to those who perform contemporary and new pieces with modern instruments like Ensemble Zefiro, Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, Il giardino Armonico, Orkiesta Historyczna, Spira Mirabilis, and Palau de les Arts de Valencia.
He pursues outstanding soloist projects with the bass clarinet. He commissioned two concerts for bass clarinet and orchestra by Spanish composers Jose Luis Greco and Ramón Paús. He premiered them in the National Auditorium with the Spanish National Orchestra. In 2008 he founded the Trio Musicalis with which he recorded two CDs for the label IBS classical and premiered more than 25 new pieces.
From 2002 to 2006, he has formed part of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid in the Teatro Real (Opera) and since 2006 has a seat as bass clarinet in the Spanish National Orchestra.
