The Italian cellist Francesco Tamburini is currently completing a Master’s degree in music at the Musikhochschule Freiburg with Jean-Guihen Queyras and an Artist Diploma at the Stauffer Academy Cremona with Antonio Meneses. In 2023 he graduated from the Mozarteum in Salzburg and in 2019 from the Milan Conservatory. Francesco Tamburini was selected as a scholarship holder of the Fondation Gautier Capuçon in 2024 and will receive the Stauffer/Rotary Biannual Scholarship 2024.
Francesco Tamburini is invited to various festivals, including IMS and OCM Prussia Cove, Fontainebleau School of Music, NUME Academy & Festival, Seiji Ozawa International Academy, Ravinia’s Steans Institute, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival and Villars Academy.
As a dedicated chamber musician, he works with Victoria Mullova, A. Grosz, Vlad Stanculeasa, and Omer Meir Wellber, among others.
In 2023 Francesco co-founded the VIVACISSIMO Chamber Music Festival (Italy). Since 2022 he has been a guest player with the Camerata Salzburg.
