Igor Klokov began playing the guitar at the age of 15. He studied at prestigious institutions in Russia, the Czech Republic, Germany and Switzerland with the renowned professors Vladislav Blaha, Hubert Käppel and Judicaël Perroy.

His musical excellence is underlined by numerous first prizes at international competitions, including the XIII Concurso International de Guitarra de Sevilla, the XXVII Concurso International de Guitarra Ciudad de Coria (Spain) and the International Hubert Käppel Guitar Competition in Koblenz (Germany). In 2024 he won 2nd prize at the 56th Concorso Internazionale di Chitarra Classica Michele Pittaluga in Alessandria (Italy) and the 39th Certamen Internacional Guitarra Classica Andrés Segovia in La Herradura (Spain).

In 2020 he released his debut CD »Hommage« on the AureaVox label with works by Rodrigo, Giuliani and J. S. Bach. In addition to his international concert activities, Igor Klokov regularly gives masterclasses and is a sought-after adjudicator at competitions.
