»He is [...] cheeky, charismatic, enthusiastic about classical music«, writes the Süddeutsche Zeitung about Malte Arkona. The three-time winner of the Echo Klassik award is now one of the most sought-after music presenters in the German-speaking world. He is known to a wide audience as an actor, dubbing artist and TV presenter. As the host of the popular programmes »Tigerenten Club« and »Die beste Klasse Deutschlands«, he has become popular with young and old alike.

Whether at film music galas (e.g. with the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra), open air concerts with up to 35,000 spectators (e.g. for the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra) or chamber music with the Boulanger Trio in the Elbphilharmonie, Arkona finds the right tone to connect the audience with the music.

Malte Arkona has performed with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and Concerto Köln. Again and again, he meets the big stars of the scene, who not only tell him a lot of interesting things about music in conversation, but also like to talk about their lives.

In 2024/2025, Malte Arkona will continue his successful collaboration with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra and the NDR and SWR Radio Orchestras. Further engagements will take him to the Kölner Philharmonie, the Philharmonie Essen and the Robert-Schumann-Saal in Düsseldorf. Together with the Dresden Philharmonic, he has created the new concert series »Best of Classics«, which celebrates its premiere this season. In the summer of 2025, Arkona will once again host the renowned open-air concert of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra »Klassik Airleben« under the direction of Andris Nelson.

In addition to developing new concert concepts for classical music, Malte directed his first music video for the Dresden Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra in 2021, as well as several clips from the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra. His podcast »MPhil with Malte« in collaboration with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra was also successfully launched in 2021.

Malte Arkona has been a lecturer (moderation for musicians) at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin since 2022.
