The Cologne-based pianist Toni Ming Geiger combines epochs, disciplines and cultures in his work. He collaborates with artists from the fields of music, dance, literature, puppetry, directing and film to create new concert experiences.
He has been honoured with numerous international awards and scholarships for his work. He studied in Cologne and Paris and has performed at venues including Carnegie Hall, the Pierre Boulez Saal Berlin and the Kölner Philharmonie. He teaches at the Cologne University of Music and Dance and was Musical Director of the HIDALGO Festival in Munich.
Toni Ming Geiger is a fellow of the Lied Academy of the »Heidelberger Frühling« 2018–2021, where he directed the Lied.LAB in 2023. He was a fellow of the Carnegie Hall SongStudio, the Britten-Pears Young Artist Programme, the Cusanuswerk, the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and the Akademie Concerto21 of the Alfred-Töpfer-Stiftung FVS.
