Ulf Buermeyer is a lawyer and host of the podcast »Lage der Nation«. He has been a judge in Berlin since 2007 and honorary chairman of the Gesellschaft für Freiheitsrechte e. V. (GFF) since 2015. His academic work focuses on constitutional law and criminal law. He received his doctorate from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt/Main with a thesis on Informational self-determination in the penal system. In 2013/2014, he studied as part of a sabbatical in the LL.M programme at Columbia Law School in New York City.
