Description
Award-winning young talents with a far-reaching musical horizon: Benjamin Günst introduces himself with Croatian pianist Lovre Marušić, who won second prize at the most recent Bonn Telekom Beethoven Competition. From Mozart to Stravinsky, they present stylistic diversity. The four different works share a forward momentum, a restlessness that is taken to the extreme by Maurice Ravel in the »Perpetuum mobile« of his Violin Sonata. But Robert Schumann’s passionate »Great Sonata in D Minor« also storms ahead with Romantic fervor. Stravinsky adapted his Divertimento from his neoclassical ballet of the same name – in the scurrying notes, we can hear the dance en pointe.
