Chamber music that is French to the core: irresistibly sumptuous and feather-light, but always profound, and with more than an occasional nod to the German composer colleagues.

Description
Only a handful of piano quartet ensembles grace the international music scene. Among them, the Notos Quartett stands out with its spirit of adventure. The four musicians from Germany, Switzerland, and the U.S. present a recent piece by Bryce Dessner, who enjoys success both as guitarist of the New York independent band The National and as a classical composer. We will be hearing it alongside works by Saint-Saëns and Fauré, French responses to the German Romantic chamber music tradition.
