Pupils from Bonn’s Fünfte comprehensive school prepare for their participation as performers in the staged concert Galatea Upload.
Galatea Upload: Workshops for the performing students
Pupils of the 10th grade arts class from Bonns Fünfte comprehensive school take part in Galatea Upload as performers – a staged concert on the topic of artificial intelligence. In three workshop phases starting in April, the young people will explore the topic of AI and work with the production’s artistic team on the scenic realisation.
During a visit to the Deutsches Museum Bonn, the students will familiarise themselves with various facets of artificial intelligence and take an in-depth look at their individual view of it. They explore the potential of technical superintelligence, but also the dangers and fears associated with this topic from their perspective. Their own thoughts on the challenges of this technology are incorporated into the musical compositions for the piece in the form of sound recordings.
In cooperation with Anna Drescher (stage director of the concert) and Sara Ezzell (dancer), the young people will work on the scenic realisation of their ideas in the concert and discover how art and AI meet.
The workshop is a co-operation with the Bonns Fünfte comprehensive school and is not open to general registration.
