A whirlwind on the cello: Anastasia Kobekina takes hearts by storm. The young Russian cellist has been living in Germany for many years, where she studied at the Kronberg Academy and is currently studying baroque cello in Frankfurt. In addition, she travels the world’s concert stages and shares her musical life with a lively and large community on social networks.
She will make her debut at Beethovenfest 2023 with the holy grail of cellists: She will play Antonín Dvořák’s Cello Concerto in the festival’s opening concert. Accompanying her: Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich and conductor Paavo Järvi.
We asked her in the video portrait what Dvořák’s Cello Concerto means to her, why she makes music her purpose in life and what she likes to do besides music.
