»Sharing our great treasure – music – with each other and distributing it to the whole world is simply fantastic«
Isabelle Faust is one of the most versatile violinists of our time. This year, she is a resident artist at Beethovenfest Bonn and performs in three very different formats: First Bach, Beethoven and Brahms, then Dvořák, in a chamber music setting, as a soloist alone, and with orchestra.
Isabelle Faust has long been interested in considering the perspectives and possibilities of composers. Playing ›historically informed‹ music can also mean playing on a very old instrument. In addition to the classical works of past centuries, her broad repertoire also includes contemporary music.
As a star violinist, she has been performing on stages around the world for many years. In the podcast with Steven Walter, she talks about what it’s like to be constantly on the road, but also about the great value of long-term artistic relationships.
