The Porter Percussion Duo have been performing together since 2009, captivating audiences with their stylistic diversity, virtuosity and musical expression. The two sisters Vanessa and Jessica Porter juggle between Baroque, Romanticism and Impressionism in their very own style, bringing a completely new and yet familiar sound to eras that are foreign to their instruments. Their arrangements are juxtaposed with original compositions by contemporary composers such as Georges Aperghis, Avner Dorman and Steve Reich. In this way they offer their audiences an exciting programme between the past and the present.

The duo has toured Europe, America and Asia. They have performed at numerous festivals and venues including the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Symphony Hall Birmingham, Konzerthaus Dortmund, Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and Young Euro Classics. Their debut album »Dancefloor« was released in July 2019. Vanessa and Jessica Porter live and work in Southern Germany.
