Description
The world was fascinated by the folk culture of the British Isles well before the era of Celtic rock. Beethoven arranged 160 traditional songs from Ireland and Scotland for private musical soirées. Carl Maria von Weber also turned Scottish tunes into little chamber music gems. Tenor Reinoud van Mechelen and his early music ensemble travel back in time to the salons of the Biedermeier age.
