Andriana-Yaroslava Saienko is a multi-talented musician, singer, actress, and vocal coach with roots in Lviv, where she first studied music with a focus on the flute. Since 2019, she has expanded her artistic range by diving deeply into vocal expression, attending workshops and honing her skills in acting and vocal technique. Her work has led her to multiple meaningful collaborations – particularly with Uliana Horbachevska – an actress and researcher of Ukrainian folk songs, and she has contributed to notable projects, such as the opera-myth »Ukraine – Terra Incognita«, Horbachevska Septet, and »Kolo Rayu«.
A defining aspect of her practice is her respect for folk songs as a dynamic, living art form, brought to life with a raw, authentic voice and nuanced interpretation. She also shares her expertise through vocal workshops and training, fostering an appreciation for detail and a natural approach to vocal performance. Her work is marked by a genre-blending approach that integrates traditional Ukrainian singing, jazz, improvisation, electronic music, and a strong academic foundation. Saienko’s music is both collaborative and personal; she frequently composes alongside her brother, pianist Danylo Saienko.
