The concert at a glance
Description
Ukrainian electronic musician Oleh Shpudeiko a.k.a. Heinali experiences the music of centuries past as »almost cruelly authentic«. With his synthesizer, he turns Hildegard von Bingen’s hymns into touching musical reflections of his war experiences – interwoven with elemental Ukrainian singing techniques. These are combined with the equally free-spirited English viol consort music of the court of Elizabeth I.
In cooperation with Münsterbasilika St. Martin
Heinali and Andriana-Yaroslava Saienko’s Performance is a coproduction of CTM Festival, Unsound Festival, GMEA–Centre National de Création Musicale d’Albi-Tarn and Athens & Epidaurus Festival
