Souly is a symbol of awakening and rebellion in an age of conformity. Growing up in North Rhine-Westphalia with German-Italian roots, the artist discovered the power of music as a child and teenager and made it his way of life after studying psychology. The 27-year-old artist moved to Berlin in his early 20s to pursue music. It was there that he began to break away from the predetermined lines of the music industry. He carved out his own niche, lived and worked according to his own rules and beliefs, and did not conform to expectations. But the risk was worth it – he triumphed with his stubbornness and revolutionised the German music industry in no time.
With his debut album »Ich wünschte, es würd’ mich kümmern« (»I wish I cared«, 2023) and his subsequent EP »Bossbaby Tape« (2024), he marked the beginning of a new era. His art is not a product but an experience. Souly’s work reflects the aspirations of a generation: the search for identity in the midst of a hyper-digital and hyper-capitalist society.
In April 2024, his sold-out »Ich wünschte, es würd’ mich kümmern« tour followed, which redefined the live experience. With innovative ideas such as taping off handheld cameras at his concerts, Souly proves that he knows what people need and what moves them. The ban forced the audience to engage with the moment, an experience that went viral and caused the hype around Souly to grow further.
Access to his festival appearances is restricted due to overcrowding and, despite their size, his concerts remain exclusive and special to the 11,000 fans in attendance. Without releasing a single song in the summer of 2024, he doubled his monthly Spotify listeners to 1.9 million within a year. His single »Bundeswehr«, which had been out for a year, reached number 1 in the TikTok trends and manifested Souly’s success in mainstream circles.
With his second album »tRaence«, Souly dares to take the next historic step. Inspired by the seriousness of a cause, he continues to explore the boundaries and possibilities of music and musical genres. He incorporates elements of techno and metal music, as well as various other expressionist art forms, to create his own unique soundscape. With »tRaence«, Souly pays homage to the authenticity of things – and takes his genre one step further. His frustration with the German rap scene is what drives him: Sound and atmosphere should tell the story before a word is spoken. With hypnotic beats, flowing transitions and an overarching dramaturgy, the album sets new standards. Even before a single new song was released, all tickets for his »tRaence« tour in October 2025 were sold out within two days – a clear sign that the vision behind his work is resonating.
