The concert at a glance
Description
Strangers passing in the street
By chance, two separate glances meet
And I am you and what I see is me
And do I take you by the hand
And lead you through the land
And help me understand the best I can?
(Pink Floyd: »Echoes«, 1972)
Dramaturge and Beethovenfest Fellow Hannah Baumann presents the Kreuzkirche as a stage landscape where we encounter ourselves and our echoes. Wooden Elephant’s instrumental-vocal recompositions of Pink Floyd and Radiohead combine with text fragments and Ovid’s story of the nymph Echo to create mystical music theatre. The Sign Language Choir Klingende Hände comments on the action in the manner of a Greek tragedy choir.
German sign language will be used in the performance. The event is without seating.
A production of Beethovenfest Bonn
