Description
»SatisfactionAction« is a spatial installation and musical performance where Max Andrzejewski creates trance-like moments of community in the Kreuzkirche. Based on the YouTube video genre »Oddly Satisfying«, a choir, visual film art, dance, and an instrumental ensemble bring all participants into states of satisfaction – a short-term counterbalance to reality with its continual sense of crisis. Percussionist and composer Andrzejewski writes choral music somewhere between contemporary classical and minimalism. His work also integrates conversations with the singers of the Kreuzkirche chamber choir Vox Bona about how they experience fulfillment making music. With projections on screens in the church, live camera images, spatial choreography, and light, the performance transports us to another level of consciousness.
